Event Description
Holy Scripture tells us that Christ is the "New Adam," and where all had died in the Original Sin of the first "Adam," all may be made alive once more by the salvific mission of Our Lord Jesus. The Blessed Virgin Mary, by her "Fiat," also plays a crucial role in the Salvation History of humanity, then and now, by virtue of her obedience to God's Plan, and in contrast to the first "Eve," has since been recognized fittingly as the "New Eve." So, who is this "Woman" foreshadowed in Genesis, honored as such by Jesus Himself, and enthroned in the Book of Revelation that Catholics venerate so much? why are the Holy Scriptures replete with typological references to her? Why do Catholics speak of consecrating their hearts to her...when is it not to God alone that one should commit their undivided heart? Why is it so important to recognize that Mary remained a virgin even after Christ's birth? Was she truly without sin, and what is the significance of her Immaculate Conception and Glorious Assumption? Simply put, why do Catholics make such a "big deal" about Mary? Mary always points us to her Son, and our world desperately needs Jesus!
Therefore this fall, Fullness of Truth invites you to their exciting Marian conference titled "Mary, the New Eve: Grasping Her Role in Salvation History!" at the Our Lady of Victory Cathedral Center in Victoria, Texas, October 14-15, 2022. We'll see you there!
