OUR FEATURED SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

Fr. Leo Patalinghug: Born in the Philippines and raised in the Baltimore area, Fr. Leo actually developed his love for cooking while attending the seminary at the North American College in Rome. There, he became friendly with several Italian restaurant owners and would often invite them back to the student kitchen to trade cooking secrets. They would teach him about rigatoni and lasagna; he would show them how to make hamburgers and ribs. Today, he is a skilled cook who still enjoys learning how to make new dishes, and loves the process of preparing a meal, as much as he does sharing it with a table full of friends.

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers: is a powerful and passionate evangelist and preacher whose no-nonsense, hands-on approach to living the Catholic faith will challenge and inspire you!  He is the Founder and Director of DynamicDeacon.com, a Christian evangelization and apologetics organization dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of Catholic values, principles, and teaching in complete faithfulness and total submission to Holy Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Magisterium.  The goal of his apostolate is to bring as many people as possible to a deeper love of Christ and the Gospel by sharing the truth of the Catholic faith in love.

Fr. Ken Geraci: joined the Fathers of Mercy in 2006 and was ordained in 2012. For the last two years, he has served as the associate pastor of a medium sized parish in Western Kentucky and has recently been assigned to the Mission Band of the Fathers of Mercy.  Fr. Ken has a great understanding of the personal and societal pressures that individuals face and knows what it is like to “hate coming to church.”  His mission talks are for people of all levels of faith; from those who are madly in love with Jesus, to those who pretty much hate church and religion.

Mark Regnerus: is an associate professor of sociology at the University of Texas and faculty research associate at the UT Population Research Center. He is author ofPremarital Sex in America (Oxford University Press, 2011) and Forbidden Fruit: Sex and Religion in the Lives of American Teenagers (Oxford University Press, 2007). A scholar who can raise hackles both in the academy and the Church, Regnerus took up the mantle of marriage in early adulthood in 2009, with articles appearing in both TheWashington Post and Christianity Today. He lives in Austin with his wife Deeann and their three children.

This conference is sure to bring you and your’s closer to Christ and His Church with not only beautiful liturgies, but also with dynamic speakers touching on an array of timely faith and family-building topics.
