Dan & Debbie Shea
Raised in St. Petersburg, Florida as the fifth of six children from a strong Catholic family, Dan graduated from Florida International University, Miami, Florida in 1982 with a Physical Therapy degree. He met Debbie in college and followed her to Corpus Christi, TX where her parents were stationed in the Navy. Dan worked at the Regional Trauma Center as the Director of Rehabilitation Medicine until 1988 and then opened his private practice which both he and Debbie continue to work.
They have five children, two daughter-in-laws, a son-in-law, and 4 grandchildren. Dan has been active in his children’s lives through coaching youth baseball and soccer, high school swimming and diving, Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts as Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master, IWA School Board initiating the Mission Effectiveness Committee to address campus Catholic Identity, started the IWA High School Mission program in 2003 taking students to remote villages in Tula, Mexico for six years, and then focusing on area of need within southern Texas currently, and acting as an adult sponsor with youth programs at Cathedral of Corpus Christi.
Dan enjoys having multiple projects going on simultaneously and volunteering his time for worthy causes with Debbie whenever asked. Dan is more of the behind the scene supporter of the Church and will support Debbie who teaches RCIA, coordinates the altar servers, and organizes the noon Mass at the Cathedral.
He gains much joy organizing the next family gathering and spending time with family and friends going to new locations and experiencing new activities. He is fondly referred to as "Grandpa Disney" by his grandchildren.
