Arland K. Nichols - is the Founding President of the St. John Paul II Foundation. Formerly he served as the Director of Education and Evangelization for Human Life International where he launched and was Executive Editor of the e-magazine, the Truth and Charity Forum. Prior to his time at HLI he was Director of Campus Ministry and instructor of morality and bioethics at Pope John XXIII High School in Katy, Texas. 


His articles have been published in more than twenty print or online publications including The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly, Homiletic and Pastoral Review, The Linacre Quarterly, Ethics and Medics, Crisis Magazine, New Oxford Review, Lay Witness, and Fellowship of Catholic Scholars Quarterly.


With a passion for speaking to various professional and lay audiences, Mr. Nichols has given presentations on virtually every topic that touches upon life, family, and religious liberty. Mr. Nichols speaks frequently at universities, medical schools, hospitals, conferences, and parishes throughout the country and is frequently interviewed by television, radio, and print media.

Mary Ann Kuharski - is a wife and mother of thirteen children, six of whom are adopted and of mixed races with "special needs". She and her husband John, are members of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Minneapolis, and active members of the Knights of Columbus. They are now grandparents to a growing and extended family.

Mary Ann is an author and speaker on life and family issues. She is a founding member and Director of PROLIFE Across AMERICA, known as “The Billboard People” for its positive and persuasive educational messages which have appeared in 43 states. In 2013, they sponsored over 1000 radio ads and 7000 billboards

across America.


Mary Ann has served in various aspects of the pro-life movement and as a volunteer counselor offering support to women with problem pregnancies. She has served as an Advisory Board Member of the National Council for Adoption and on the Minnesota Governor's Task force regarding children with handicaps and special needs.


She has testified twice in Congress on adoption related issues and has appeared on local and national radio and television, including EWTN Live with Father Mitch Pacwa and Johnnette Benkovic's Abundant Life. In 2005, Mary Ann received the Catholic Unity Award from Catholic Music and Media Association. In 2006,

she received the Catholic Woman of the Year Award from the National Catholic Daughters of the Americas. In 2008, she was selected to receive the Leading with Faith Catholic Business Leader Award by the Catholic Spirit Archdiocesan Publication. In 2011 she received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the St. Paul Seminary.


Mary Ann is a frequent speaker at Eucharistic/Marian Conferences, Advent/Lenten Retreats, as well as Marriage and Parenting events.

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers - known around the world as the “Dynamic Deacon” - is one of the most sought-after speakers in the Church today. He is a powerful and passionate evangelist and preacher whose no-nonsense approach to living and proclaiming the Catholic faith is sure to challenge and inspire those who hear him.

Wm. Michael Mulvey - was ordained the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Corpus Christi on March 25, 2010. Pope Benedict XVI named him bishop on January 18, 2010.

Bishop Mulvey was born August 23, 1949 in Houston Texas. the second of six children, to Daniel H. Mulvey Jr. and Marjorie Jane Patterson Mulvey.

He completed all of his education at Catholic schools, including St. Theresa and St. Cecilia in Houston and St. Thomas High School in Houston. He graduated from St. Edward's Catholic High School in Austin in 1967 and St. Edward's University in 1971 with a BBA. 

He attended seminary at the North American College in Rome from 1971-1976. He earned his bachelor's degree of Sacred Theology from St. Thomas University (Angelicum) in 1974 and  licentiate (master's degree) in Sacred Theology from Gregorian University in 1976. 

Bishop Mulvey was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Austin by Pope Paul VI in 1975 in St. Peter's Square

Steve Bollman - experienced a personal call during the Great Jubilee, to found a ministry dedicated to finding God within the context of marriage and family life. In 2001, he founded Paradisus Dei as a lay Catholic ministry and in 2002 he set aside his professional interests as an energy derivatives trader in Houston, TX to dedicate himself full time to the development of the ministry.


Steve has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an M.B.A. from Notre Dame. His varied background enables him to integrate the teachings of our faith with the findings of modern science. His professional experience allows him to present these findings to popular audiences in a highly accessible manner. Steve’s writings have appeared in The National Catholic Register, Inside the Vatican and The Catholic Answers.


Steve lives with his wife and daughters in Houston, TX.

Christopher J. Stravitsch, DMinCand, LPC, LMFT - is the Founding Vice President of the St. John Paul II Foundation. He has a passion for creating new ministries that meet today's most pressing needs, especially the pastoral needs of couples and families.


Prior to co-founding the John Paul II Foundation, Mr. Stravitsch served eight years on the Formation Faculty of Assumption Seminary as Director of Collegians in San Antonio. There he worked with the faculty to develop the college formation program since its inception in 2006, in accord with the Program of Priestly Formation and John Paul II’s apostolic exhortation Pastores Dabo Vobis. Mr. Stravitsch still serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, Nebraska, where he teaches in the Spiritual Formation for Diocesan Seminarians summer program. He has a mandatum conferred by Most Reverend José H. Gomez, S.T.D.
