Event Description

We are all called to sainthood. Yes, but since we're fallen, that just not going to happen on its own. It requires a process.

So, this Lent, on February 23- 25, 2024 at the Randolph Riverfront Center of Alexandria, LA, in the midst of our great national Catholic Eucharistic Revival, Fullness of Truth-LA & the Diocese of Alexandria invite you to a supernaturally powerful event entitled, “Real Presence, Real Power: The Eucharistic Life & the Science of Sainthood”. Take your Spiritual Life to new depths with the Founder of the online spiritual formation platform, the “Science of Sainthood”, MATTHEW LEONARD; the Louisiana-native and internationally-renown scripture scholar, prolific author and Augustine Institute professor/theologian DR. BRANT PITRE; the engaging theologian for the Augustine Institute, DR. MICHAEL BARBER; Louisiana’s own Catholic “Mom” blogger & author ERIFRANCO; and with “The Spirit World” radio co-host DEBBIE GEORGIANNI. A Youth Track will be offered, as well as Concert/Sacred Music with the hometown return of the JOSH BLAKESLEY BAND.

Once grasped, this "Science of Sainthood" may be then unleashed towards the ultimate target of the Mass and all the Sacraments - a more intimate Union with Our Creator! Our Lord said that this is the "one thing" necessary for one simple reason – it’s how YOU get to heaven! So don't miss it!

Josh Blakesley

Josh Blakesley has acknowledged a simple calling: To make music that moves people into prayer and action. Josh has been stirred by the rhythms, melodies and chord progressions of contemporary songs long before he was old enough to know what these words meant.

As he learned about Mozart, Bach and others, he began to realize that contemporary music is very simply the music of the people. The overtures and opuses of the 1700s were the popular songs of that era. People identified with those songs in the same way that today's “hits” appeal to the masses of this generation. As a songwriter in 2023, the question that provokes him is: How do I create a song that will honor traditions and music yet speak to the modern Church and lead them to worship?

Josh’s most recent release, “Summer 2023 LIVE”, is a 3-song EP that captures the heart of his ministry on the road. Filled with the energy of live crowds, the project offers an opportunity to feel the worship just as it occurred in venues across the country this summer. The live recording is a follow up to his 2022 release entitled “Outpoured” which features brand new original songs such as “Jesus, I Trust in You” and “Love is Above All Things.” Both albums are available anywhere you stream music.

After numerous projects as an artist and as a producer, Josh Blakesley is a constant in Christian music. He continues to write and record with a wealth of talented people like Grammy Nominated producer/singer- songwriter, Michael Farren, Mia Fieldes (Hillsong), Dove Award winner Marc Byrd (God of Wonders) and Grammy Award Nominated, Sarah Hart (Better than a Hallelujah). Currently, Josh is working on full-length and self-produced project, set to release in 2024 featuring a collection of songs inspired by the quotes of various saints.

Blakesley has been featured on Sirius XM, EWTN’s Life on the Rock, Relevant Radio, KLOVE and has performed with wide variety of Christian artists like Matt Maher, Andrew Peterson, Jars of Clay and the Newsboys as well as several International Papal events. He continues to tour the US and Canada in 2024; please visit his tour listing for more info on where to find him and the band next year. He also works directly with the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Life Teen International, Catholic HeartWork Camp, Adore Ministries, as well as many churches and conferences of all sizes, all in an effort to live out his calling and to “make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:18)

Josh Blakesley currently lives in the Houston, TX area with his wife Heather and their two children, Sophie and Sutton. He is the Director of Music Ministry at St. Faustina Church in Fulshear, TX.
